Green Tea & Oatmeal Face Mask
Lately, green tea has been the star ingredient in many beauty products. And for a good reason. It is naturally rich in antioxidants, which helps protect the body from free radical (those horrible fellows, responsible for accelerated aging and increasing risks of major diseases).
So this beauty DIY is a Green tea & Oatmeal Mask.
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp dry oats
- 1/2 cup of strong & hot green tea (stronger the better!)
- 1 tsp of honey
Benefits of other Ingredients:
Oatmeal - good for scrubbing, perfect for washing away dead & dry skin
Honey - Humectant (moisture retaining) and anti-bacterial properties
To make:
Mix the ingredients together while the green tea is still hot. The mask should be in a thick paste-like form.
By using the mask hot you are forcing pores to open therefore allowing the benefits of the green tea to work into the deeper layers of the skin. There should be plenty of mask to cover your face, neck and shoulder area. If you only wish to cover your face then halve the ingredients. Leave the mask to do it’s stuff for at least 20-30 minutes before rinsing off, and finish by moisturizing your skin.
